SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers into the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering expert services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it is alarmed in regards to the substantial amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] status sassa is to reach-out to a superior range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office focused on service the area on sassa a daily basis. The assistance level established for intervention encounters a significant influx of probable beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for that Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more means to enable the servicing of all buyers and maximize usage of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
